Kangana Ranaut, who is not only the lead actress but also the writer and director of Emergency, has faced many challenges in bringing the film to theaters. The movie, which portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is set to release on January 17. Ahead of the release, Kangana arranged a special screening for Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. She shared that his encouraging words were a huge morale boost for the entire Emergency team.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis recently spoke to the media, highlighting the significance of Emergency as a crucial documentation of a dark period in Indian history.

He explained, “The film showcases a time when democratic rights were taken away, the Constitution was ignored, and many leaders were imprisoned. Emergency effectively captures the struggles people faced during those times.”

He also praised Kangana Ranaut’s portrayal of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, saying, “I congratulate Kangana for nailing the role.

The film isn’t just about the Emergency, but also the events leading up to it, including the 1971 war. It offers a look at the Prime Minister’s life journey and serves as a reminder of how important it is to protect democracy.”

After the screening, Kangana spoke to the media, saying, “This journey has been a huge challenge for me and my team. Today, the Chief Minister watched our film and gave us words of praise and encouragement. It’s truly an honor for us.” She also reminded everyone that Emergency is releasing on January 17 and encouraged the audience to watch it in theaters with their families.
